Bitumen is a viscous liquid that is perfect for waterproofing.

SBS stands for Styrene Butadiene Styrene, a synthetic rubber that gives bituminous roofing membranes greater elasticity. Thanks to this flexibility, the roof membranes can stretch and do not hinder the functioning of underlying structures, such as insulation. In addition, bituminous SBS membranes adhere well, which minimises the risk of leaks.

Slate chippings are a litter of finely ground slate, which is used as a top layer on bitumen. With slate chippings, the bitumen underlay is even better protected against moisture and UV radiation.

SBS bitumen can be used on both SBS bitumen and APP bitumen and is therefore universal.
