The dome reflector is an essential component of our daylight tube and plays a key role in optimising light penetration, especially when the sun is low in the sky. The reflector is recessed into the top tube, directly on the dome lens. This strategic positioning efficiently guides incoming sunlight into the tube.

The reflective side of the reflector faces south. This optimally reflects light from the low sun. On the north side, the reflector is less reflective, deliberately leaving space for light to enter from that direction. This prevents northern light from being blocked, ensuring the daylight tube continues to function effectively on all sides.

With this clever design, the dome reflector contributes to maximum light output throughout the day, regardless of the sun's position.
